Balance Challenge

For our work Ms.Corbett sent us a challenge to balance 2 forks with a coin on a glass here is a picture of the challenge I tried to do it but i gave up because it was to hard 

Becoming CyberSmart

Kia ora readers, Today room 21 has been doing Cybersmart. We have been doing a Cybersmart about blogs here is a picture of the Cybersmart we did.

Scratch

 Today for work we did a Scratch on how to make characters fly on Scratch. We needed to to change numbers like change y x to -250 I also learnt how to change the building each time here's a video on how it looks like. 

Moving into Room 24

Tomorrow Room 21 might move in to room 24 im excited because room 24 is a class that has just been built and is very new

This week Ms.Corbett gave us a task to make a graph using the fale house points here is a picture of my and my statements

1.I can see from this chart that kauri has improved since last term

 

2.From this chart i can see that kowhai has 24 less points than totara

Room 21 Scratch Project

On our first Assembly back to school after the 2 weeks holiday  Whaea Tini talked about matariki work. Ms.Corbett told us to do a matariki project. The project was to do all the 9 matariki stars in the right places and their names we needed to code it to say their names Here are some picture of mine 

NZ Winning The Olympics

 Today at 12:40 Grace Prendergast And kerri gowler played for New Zealand and won their first gold Medal in the Olympics it was the Rowing Double Sculls Finals for Women it was New Zealand, Russian Olympic Committee(ROC), Canada, Great Britain, Greece and Spain it was exciting and everyone in  Room 21 even Ms.corbett was screaming they were even screaming at the checkpoints. There were moments where ROC nearly bet New Zealand

Simplifying Fractions

Today we were learning how to simplify fractions here is mine 

The first thing I looked for was a number that would go evenly into numerator and denominator 

I divided 12 by 3 and got 4 and i divided 15 by 3 and 5

Toolkits

Today people came into room 21 to do toolkits they taught us how to make animations using google slides the animation they taught us was a boat in the sea moving around. One thing I liked about it was how they explained very well and clear so we could understand and do it our self and they also walked around the class to see if we were doing the right things and if we needed help

Fractions Immersion Day 2

 Today we made combinations of fractions that were bigger than a half, but smaller than a whole.

I made it by using 

1) 1/2 1/5 1/6 

2)1/2 1/10 1/6

3)1/2 1/12 1/10 1/8 1/6

4)1/2 1/10 1/10 1/10 1/10

                                                                         

Dipthongs

 Today we practised pronouncing dipthongs in Te Reo Māori. Dipthongs are when 2 vowels are together. Ms Corbett gave us 4 words to practise. I chose tepapaiouru. Click here for my recording of my practice.

Fraction Immersion week

We tried to make 1 whole using fraction blocks. We made different combinations here's what I made. I made it using 1 whole, 2 halves, 3 thirds and 4 quarters.
